A quick and easy dessert dip combining toasted marshmallows, melted chocolate, and graham crackers, perfect for cozy gatherings and sharing warm, sweet moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet or milk chocolate chunks or chopped chocolate bars
  • 1 sleeve graham crackers, broken into pieces for dipping
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional add-ins: chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts), pinch of sea salt, splash of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl until just liquid.
  3. Chop 8 ounces of chocolate bars into chunks or use chips. Toss the chunks with the melted butter to coat lightly.
  4. Pour the chocolate and butter mixture into a 6- to 8-inch cast iron skillet, spreading it out in an even layer about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Generously pile 3 cups of mini marshmallows over the chocolate, covering the surface completely. Press some marshmallows slightly into the chocolate layer for extra gooeyness.
  6. Bake the skillet in the oven for 8 to 10 minutes until the chocolate is melted and marshmallows start to puff and turn golden. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  7. Optional: switch to broil for 1-2 minutes to toast the marshmallows perfectly, watching carefully.
  8. Remove from oven carefully and serve warm with graham crackers broken into pieces for dipping.

Notes

Watch marshmallows closely during baking to prevent burning, especially if broiling. Coating chocolate chunks with melted butter prevents seizing and creates a smoother dip. Use fresh mini marshmallows for best puff and toast. Preheating the cast iron skillet briefly can help create a crusty edge. For crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts or sea salt on top before baking. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
