Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • ½ tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels, then remove the skin if still attached.
  3. Cut the salmon fillet into 1-inch cubes, keeping them uniform for even cooking.
  4. In a mixing bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced garlic. Taste and adjust heat or sweetness as desired.
  6. Arrange the salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece. Cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes. At the 4-minute mark, open the basket and shake gently to rotate the pieces.
  8. After 6 minutes, brush each piece lightly with the honey sriracha glaze. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the glaze caramelizes.
  9. Check for doneness: the salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork, or reach an internal temperature of 135°F to 140°F.
  10. Transfer to a plate, garnish with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and a squeeze of lime. Serve immediately.

Notes

Don’t skip preheating the air fryer—a cold air fryer will steam the salmon instead of crisping it. Resist adding all the glaze at the beginning; brush it on during the last few minutes to prevent burning. Pat the salmon very dry for best browning. If your air fryer is small, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding. Let the salmon rest for 1 minute after cooking to allow the glaze to set.
