These crispy bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers are quick and easy to make in the air fryer, delivering a perfect balance of spicy jalapeños, creamy cheese, and smoky bacon in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh medium-sized jalapeños
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 10 slices bacon (thin or regular cut)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks for securing bacon

Instructions

  1. Wash the jalapeños. Slice each pepper lengthwise in half and carefully scoop out the seeds and membranes. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded sharp cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling generously but without overstuffing.
  4. Cut bacon slices in half crosswise. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half tightly with a bacon strip, securing it with a toothpick through the center.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until bacon is crispy and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove the poppers carefully and let them rest for 2 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

If bacon isn’t crisping enough, increase air fryer temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 2 minutes. Secure bacon tightly with toothpicks to prevent unraveling. Avoid overstuffing jalapeños to prevent sogginess. Pat jalapeños dry before stuffing to ensure crispiness. For dairy-free or leaner options, use vegan cream cheese and turkey bacon.
