This Easy Candy Corn Bark with Pretzels is a quick, no-fuss treat that combines salty pretzels, sweet white chocolate, and classic candy corn. Perfect for Halloween, fall gatherings, or any time you need a deliciously crunchy snack in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • White Chocolate Chips (12 oz / 340 g)
  • Candy Corn (1 cup / about 180 g)
  • Mini Pretzel Twists (1 ½ cups / about 100 g)
  • Coconut Oil (1 teaspoon)
  • Flaky Sea Salt (optional, ¼ teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Workspace (5 minutes): Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Make sure the paper extends up the sides a little — this gives you handles to lift the bark later. Clear your counter so you have room to work.
  2. Arrange the Pretzels (2 minutes): Spread the mini pretzel twists in a single layer on the parchment-lined sheet. Don’t worry about making them perfectly spaced — they’ll get coated in chocolate anyway. Just make sure they’re not piled on top of each other. If you’re using regular pretzels, break them into roughly 1-inch pieces first.
  3. Melt the White Chocolate (3 minutes): Place the white chocolate chips in your microwave-safe bowl. Add the coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals on 50% power, stirring well after each interval. White chocolate is notorious for seizing, so low and slow is the way to go. After about 1 ½ to 2 minutes, it should be mostly melted. Keep stirring — the residual heat will melt the remaining chips. If you need another 15 seconds, go for it, but don’t overdo it. The mixture should be smooth, gloss…
  4. Pour and Spread (2 minutes): Pour the melted white chocolate over the pretzels. Use your rubber spatula to spread it evenly, making sure all the pretzels get coated. Don’t worry about perfection here — a rustic look is part of the charm. Aim for a thickness of about ¼ inch. If you see any gaps, just spread the chocolate to fill them in.
  5. Add the Candy Corn (2 minutes): While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the candy corn evenly over the top. Press them in gently with your fingers or the back of a spoon so they stick. Don’t bury them completely — you want those orange and yellow pops to show. If you’re using the flaky sea salt, sprinkle it over the top now.
  6. Set the Bark (30 minutes to 1 hour): Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm and set. If you’re in a hurry, the freezer works too — just check it after 15 minutes. The bark is ready when it lifts cleanly off the parchment and snaps when you break it.
  7. Break and Serve (2 minutes): Once set, lift the bark off the parchment using the paper edges. Place it on a cutting board and break it into irregular pieces with your hands or cut it into neat squares with a knife. I prefer breaking it by hand — it gives that rustic, homemade look that feels more inviting.

Notes

White chocolate seizes easily; use 50% power in the microwave and stir frequently. For best texture, use fresh candy corn and mini pretzel twists. The bark tastes even better on the second day. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
