These Easy Mini Charcuterie Cups are quick, fuss-free party bites that combine crunchy phyllo cups with creamy cheeses, savory cured meats, and fresh toppings for a perfect handheld snack.

Ingredients

  • Mini phyllo cups (Branston’s brand recommended)
  • Cream cheese, goat cheese, or sharp cheddar (about 1 teaspoon per cup)
  • Cured meats such as salami, prosciutto, or pepperoni, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • Fresh fruit or vegetables like halved grapes, cherry tomatoes, or thin cucumber slices
  • Toasted pine nuts or slivered almonds
  • Fresh basil or thyme leaves
  • Optional: honey, fig jam, or apricot preserves for spreading inside cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Optionally warm mini phyllo cups for 5 minutes to crisp them.
  2. Slice cured meats into small 1-inch pieces, halve grapes or cherry tomatoes, and crumble or slice cheeses into small bits.
  3. Toast nuts lightly in a dry pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant, if using.
  4. Optionally spread a thin layer of honey or fig jam inside each phyllo cup.
  5. Place about 1 teaspoon (5g) of cheese on top of the jam or directly into the cup if skipping jam.
  6. Top with one or two small pieces of folded cured meat.
  7. Add a piece of fresh fruit or vegetable such as a grape half or cherry tomato slice.
  8. Sprinkle toasted nuts and a few herb leaves on top.
  9. Arrange mini cups on a serving platter and keep chilled until serving, ideally within 1-2 hours.
  10. If cups feel soggy, skip jam or add a thin layer of cream cheese as a moisture barrier.
  11. Enjoy immediately after serving; best fresh but can be prepared a few hours ahead if refrigerated.

Notes

Warming phyllo cups slightly before assembly helps keep them crisp. Use a thin layer of cream cheese or jam as a moisture barrier to prevent sogginess. Assemble close to serving time for best texture. Variations include vegetarian toppings or gluten-free phyllo cup substitutes like endive leaves.
