Instructions

  1. Rinse 4 cups of fresh strawberries thoroughly. Hull and slice them evenly, setting aside about 1 cup for topping.
  2. In a chilled mixing bowl, beat 1 cup of heavy whipping cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form (3-5 minutes).
  3. In another bowl, beat 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with 3/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth. Stir in lemon zest gently.
  4. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula to keep it light and airy.
