A spooky green Halloween punch made with real fruit and natural sweetness. Quick to prepare with simple ingredients, this crowd-pleasing drink is healthier than traditional sugary punches but just as delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) pineapple juice (100% juice, no added sugar)
  • 1 cup (about 150 g) frozen mango chunks
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey or agave nectar, plus more to taste
  • 1 handful (about 30 g) fresh spinach
  • 3 cups (720 ml) sparkling water or club soda, well-chilled
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Optional garnish: lime wheels, edible flowers, or gummy worms

Instructions

  1. Blend the fruit base: In a blender, combine frozen mango chunks, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, honey (or agave), and fresh spinach. Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds until completely smooth and vibrant green. If too thick, add a splash of pineapple juice.
  2. Taste and adjust: Pour about 2 tablespoons of the blended mixture into a small cup and taste. Add more honey if needed, or more lime juice if too sweet. The flavor should be fruity and bright.
  3. Strain if desired: For an ultra-smooth punch, pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl, pressing with a spoon to extract liquid. This step is optional.
  4. Chill the base: Transfer the blended fruit mixture to a pitcher or punch bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours.
  5. Add the fizz: Just before serving, pour 3 cups of well-chilled sparkling water or club soda into the pitcher with the fruit base. Stir gently to combine, pouring slowly down the side to preserve carbonation.
  6. Add ice and garnish: Fill the pitcher with ice cubes or a large ice ring. Add garnishes like lime wheels, edible flowers, or gummy worms. Stir once more gently and serve immediately.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Pour into individual glasses over ice. Optionally, add a few frozen mango chunks to each glass instead of regular ice.

Notes

The fruit base can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Add sparkling water just before serving to keep the fizz. For a brighter green color, add 1/4 teaspoon matcha powder with the spinach. For an adult version, replace 1 cup of sparkling water with white rum, vodka, or coconut rum. To prevent dilution, use an ice ring instead of cubes.
